Mindee, Mollie, my brother Mike and I were in the car last night heading out to get something to eat. Mindee brought up a conversation I had with a guest at the cafe last week.
The beginning of the conversation with the guest last week went like this:
I asked this guest, "If you were to die tonight, and you stood before God and He asked you, 'Why should I let you into Heaven?' What would you say?"
The guest replied, "I don't know."
So, Mindee and I were talking about the conversation and about God and heaven while traveling down the road.
Suddenly, Mollie leaned forward in her seat saying, "Dad, I know what I would say!"
"You do?" I asked.
"I'd say because you're my savior...and I love you."
Mollie's answer was spoken with confidence and sincerity and a child-like faith. As much as a ten-year-old could muster. I had to fight back the tears. Her answer was so endearing and honest. It was a moment (as a father) that I'll treasure and lock away in the hard drive of my heart.
What would you say to God if you stood before Him?

Re: heaven
I would say.... "Hello my friend... at last we meet"... Yes HE IS my Savior, but HE IS also MY BEST FRIEND...

Re: heaven
I have pictured this in my mind many times. I don't know if I could speak. I see myself falling before Him, crying, and simply longing for Him to put His hand on my shoulder and welcome me home.

Re: heaven
I'd reply "Jesus Christ has bought me with his life..."
