The summer has come and gone again. The good news is great things have been happening at Cafe 41:11!
The Conrads have helped us get reconnected with Sandridge Foods. Randy has been bringing great salads - potato, macaroni, pasta, chicken, cucumber and soups over to the Medina Cafe every week. There's enough for the Norton Cafe to share in the bounty too. They're really thankful too as they reopened August 18th after their hiatus. The chicken salad sandwiches are a big hit.
Best of all, a young man who many of you have been praying for, accepted the Lord last Tuesday at Starbucks. He came to the Cafe to share in his excitement. He's still unsettled. Jeff and I had great conversation that night as he questioned one by one what he thinks he'll have to give up. We encouraged him to turn to the Lord and let Him do the transforming.
We talked on and off for over 2 hours between making Jeff's famous ice cream sundaes (BTW - beware of Jeff with whipping topping though-stand back, he has a way of getting it all over!) Meanwhile the young man would get up feel like going out for "a dip" then say "no" I should give up "dipping" sit back down and ask another question. This happened 2 or 3 times, God is awesome.
Finally right before he left, he said "Things will get easier now, right?" I looked at Jeff, he looked at me, who's gonna break the news to him that the battle has just begun? So I started to explain that's not how it works then Jeff explained that the Enemy is really not pleased now, he'll be tempting you more then ever. And I chimed in that the young man has the greater power behind him now - please continue to pray.
