People were generous in the month of February. We raised enough to pay the bills for March. So, we'll be open another month. Our bank account is pretty low. (I know...shocking, right!?) Please ask God to provide during the month of March for us to have the money to pay April's expenses. The Founding Families Mural is up!! My camera was not capable of focusing in close enough to legibly read the individual names. (Sorry ). But, you can still enjoy seeing it on display at the cafe. You can double-click on any of the photos to enlarge them. Enjoy! Read More »

Some of you are relatively new to these e-news articles and the Café 41:11 ministry. Welcome to the group! I can’t wait to see how God is going to grow and stretch your faith and use you for His glory. The rest of you have faithfully prayed for, and supported, this ministry since my family took a step of fait ...

The manager of a free coffeehouse ministry wears many hats. Literally (as you already know from a previous e-news article) and figuratively. I'm a manager, administrator, fundraiser, missionary, and counselor. A janitor, dishwasher, carpenter, painter, short-order cook, and amateur Barista. You name it. I most likely do it.

I didn't feel like serving yesterday. I didn't want to go to the cafe. (Ever had one of those days?) But...I went anyway. And I went grouchy and selfish. I stirred our daily soup on the cafe stove reminding myself that today I'd be serving someone as if that person were Jesus himself. (That seemed to help me refocus.) Read More »

I wear a Cleveland Cavaliers ball cap on days when they're scheduled to play. The Cavaliers played the Golden State Warriors last Friday night. So, I slapped on my Cavs hat, slipped on a pair of jeans, scooted into my sneakers, and steered my rusted steed toward the cafe to run the 3 - 6 p.m. shift in great anticipation for ...

Let it snow, baby!
Man, can you believe the snow and cold we've been plastered with? This is a picture of me steering a snow blower given to me by my brother Mike Malott. (To view the picture in greater detail, double click on the polaroi ...

Kids of all ages were given the opportunity to decorate and eat some tasty holiday treats yesterday at Cafe 41:11. Kris Wilkinson, a member of Weymouth Community Church, spent all day baking and preparing Christmas cookies for our guests. It was a messy, fun, loud afternoon with some of Medina's young people. The Cafe Team wishes to thank Kris for her hard work and generosity. If you missed it, we invite you to nibble on these pictures!

A white bearded man held a little sign in his hand. He stood just outside Cafe 41:11 hoping to catch a ride from busy commuters. (Maybe you've seen him on your travels about town?) At first glance I thought, Ole St. Nick's driver's license must be suspended? I walked outside and asked him where he was headed.
"I'm going to Giant Eagle to get some food."
"Do you know about our cafe?"
"No," he repl ...

The Medina Cafe 41:11 is officially a young, floppy one-year-old. The cafe is still wearing diapers and daily dependent on its Father for protection and loving care. We're grateful for your help in raising and caring for Cafe 41:11& ...
