Last week, I read through 1 & 2 Timothy. This week I'm chewing on 1 & 2 Peter. I realized something about myself while reading these letters. I like to read out loud. (Do you ever do that? We returned home from a birthday party Sunday night to find the driveway to our garage blocked. It was completely unapproachable. Hurricane Ike made its way to our house. It ripped a few mammoth tree limbs off our trees and gently laid them in our front yard and across our driveway. I got out of the car and moved the downed limbs out of the way. I'm so proud of myself. (My I.T. friend is proud too.) He's teaching me so many new things about websites and blogs and e-mails. He's cool (but I will have to destroy him in our Fantasy Football league this year ).

A week of serving guests, praying for guests, listening to their problems and concerns, and sharing the Gospel completely drained me. Those who liked the "bike" e-mail I sent a couple months ago are gonna' love this one! A guest's bike at the cafe was taken last week by a group of kids. So, we cruised the streets of Medina in search of his stolen wheels. We couldn't find the bike. So, once again, I lent him a used bike hanging upside down from the hooks in my garage. It was a form of transportation until we found out what happened to his bike.
