About Us

CAFÉ FORTY-ONE: ELEVEN is a non-profit organization established to operate as a Christian mercy ministry. It is the desire of Cafe 41:11 to live out Jesus' command to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Love your neighbor as yourself" (NIV, Mark 12:30-31).

Core Values

Provide a meeting place for fellowship in a coffee house atmosphere.
Train adult and student volunteer staff in ministering to youth in such a way as to provide a safe and neutral ground for cultivating relationships with the purpose of developing God consciousness and introducing them to the importance and relevance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Facilitate an environment of encouragement and direction from the Christian perspective through the use of such things as guest speakers, artists, musicians and other performers, bible studies, prayer and share groups and other similar outreaches.
Serve as the body of Christ (His Church in action) in the marketplace by organizing small groups and leading students into the growth circles of area churches.
Develop attitudes, skills, and work disciplines in young men and women as a means of preparation for career placement and life-time service as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

We believe there is one God over all, the same yesterday, today and forever; the Creator of all things and in whom all things consist and the one to whom all things belong and the one to whom all creation is accountable.

We believe there is one Savior, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who is the Supreme Head of the Church, which He redeemed unto God by His Own blood.

We believe that as the Head of the Church, all believers must continually strive to submit to the Lordship of His control as set forth in the Holy Scriptures.

We believe the Church consists of like-minded believers who are members of the Body of Christ and thus united in purpose, mission and faith.

We believe that the Body of Christ continually fosters obedience and cooperation with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Church is God’s arrangement for mankind to perform multi-faceted functions. We believe Ezekiel 34:15, 16 from the Holy Scriptures set forth the priority that those functions represent to God. Those functions include encouraging believers in the faith, searching for the lost, bringing back those who have gone astray, binding up the injured and giving strength to the weak. All of these functions are to be done in humility with an active pursuit of loving mercy and acting justly.

We believe there is one Holy Spirit, the third person in the Trinity, who is now the representative of the God-head on earth, who came from the Father and the Son, to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are three persons, united and inseparable, of one substance and eternal.

We believe in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as divinely and supernaturally inspired, infallibly true as originally given, and our divinely authorized rule of faith and practice.

We believe the plan of redemption set forth in the Holy Scriptures and that true repentance toward God and faith in the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ bring the forgiveness of all our sins and the experience of the New Birth, whereby we become children of God.

We believe in the resurrection of the body, the judgment of all mankind and the everlasting punishment of those who will not believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as satisfaction for their sin. And we trust in God's promise of eternal life for all of those who do believe.

History

Café Forty-One: Eleven began in Norton, Ohio in September 1999 when a local high school youth group surrounded the building at 4111 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road and prayed for the needs of their friends, families, peers, and their generation. They committed the location and their lives to support the work of contending for the faith in their personal lives and doing the work of the Great Commission to reach others with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

On December 5, 1999 the Café was officially open to the public. The City of Norton has a population of approximately 12,000 people and is located in southwest Summit County. Neighboring communities include Barberton, Wadsworth, Copley, Clinton, Franklin Township, and Doylestown. Situated in suburban area with a strong blue-collar work ethic, the Norton Cafe serves as a connecting point for people of all ages and diversity of backgrounds.

In June 2000 about 30 believers gathered near the corner of Darrow and Graham Roads in Stow, Ohio to pray and begin the process of forming the second Café 41:11. The facility was dedicated to the Lord in September, 2001 when over 100 believers from 20 church fellowships gathered to share in the celebration. Unfortunately, the Stow cafe was unable to remain operational and its doors were closed. The Stow community was richly blessed by Cafe 41:11 while it was operational.

Our third location developed in the rural community of Dalton, Ohio. The facility was dedicated on April 20, 2002 and opened on August 30, 2002. Dalton serves as a good example of the church working together. It has grown very quickly. The Dalton cafe, with the blessing of Cafe 41:11 corporate, seperated from Cafe 41:11 corporate to become their own non-profit cafe. They are still going strong to this day.

Our fourth location developed in the city of Medina, Ohio in May 2005. Tim Van Arsdale and Janis Nazarian formed a leadership team to overesee opening a cafe in Medina. The Medina cafe team secured its current location in May 2007. The team spent the summer of 2007 renovating this space, and the Medina cafe was offically open to the public November 2007.

There are currently two Cafes in operation to date. Throughout all the changes in our history as an organization, God has always been leading, directing, and providing as we trust Him. He has proven faithful.

Café 41:11 has been designed as a prototype for reproduction.
